A Glasgow councillor is "delighted" that a Glasgow play park will be upgraded.
Thomas Kerr shared his joy that the area in Mount Vernon Park will be cleaned up and refurbished.
He had been campaigning for the action, pointing out that picnic benches, equipment and swings were broken and in a state of disrepair.

The Shettleston ward representative said: “I am delighted that the council has taken up these concerns and has agreed to give Mount Vernon Park’s play area some much-needed tender loving care.
“The play area is a huge asset for our local community – particularly in the summer months when the kids are off school – so it was disappointing to hear about the state local parents found it in.
“Given how well loved it is, it is important that the play area and the park in general are looking their best at all times.
“I’m pleased council officials have responded quickly to my request and that they are going to be carrying out a site inspection and undertaking repairs.
“I look forward to this work being carried out and if anyone ever has any issues with the state of our local parks like Mount Vernon, do not hesitate to bring them to my attention.”
