Four homes could be built on the site of a former garden centre in Torrance if planning permission is granted.
East Dunbartonshire Council has received a planning application concerning land near Macgillivray Avenue, which was previously part of West Carlston Garden Centre.
The site is approximately 1.2 acres, currently in the form of arable and grazing fields and has effectively been brownfield since 1982, according to supporting documentation submitted on behalf of the applicant.

The application, for planning permission in principle, is for four detached dwellings of varying sizes, each with private gardens, garages and driveways.
The supporting documents also state that the homes would provide retirement and family homes for relatives of the applicant, some of whom are in ill health and rely on care from other family members. The homes would be specifically designed to support the needs of these people.
