Deacon Blue singer Ricky Ross has revealed he has sadly lost his dog.
The 66-year-old and his wife, fellow Deacon Blue vocalist and former River City star Lorraine McIntosh, tragically said 'goodbye' to their beloved pet Alfie earlier this week.
Ricky shared a tribute to Alfie, calling him a 'beautiful friend' and 'loyal companion'.

He wrote: "We had to say goodbye to this lovely fellow today. Alfie was always closest to Lorraine. He's been a beautiful friend and loyal companion.
"As you know, it's only God and dogs that love you like this. Farewell old pal."

Messages of support soon flooded in, with one person saying: "I'm so sorry Ricky and Lorraine..what a lovely boy. Thinking of you x."
Another wrote: "Gorgeous pup."
A third added: "Sad news, best wishes to you both."
