An iconic Glasgow city centre nightclub has won a top award.

The Garage - which is located on Sauchiehall Street - took to social media to announce it scooped an accolade at On Trade Scotland's On Trade Awards 2024 on Monday, August 12.

In the post, the venue revealed they won the Best Live Music/Gig Venue of the Year award at the ceremony.

On top of that, the club's owner - Donald Cameron Macleod - was presented with the Industry Champion prize.

Announcing the big win, The Garage said: "Huge thank you to On Trade Scotland for presenting The Garage with the Best Live Music/Gig Venue of the Year and honour our owner Donald Cameron Macleod with Industry Champion.

"What a great night."

The popular city centre nightclub first opened in 1994.

During its time, as well as being a club, it has welcomed several music legends including Prince, Biffy Clyro, and One Direction.

Bucks Bar took to social media to reveal they were 'double award winners' at On Trade Scotland's On Trade Awards 2024 on Monday, August 12.

In the post, the heavily popular eatery in the city - which is the sister restaurant to Thunder Cat Pub + Diner on Miller Street - said they won the Social Media Engagement Award and the Casual Dining Venue of the Year accolade at the event.
