A DRUNK man assaulted a police officer at Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival.
Cops were on foot patrol at Glasgow Green on July 8, 2023.
They were directed to Steven Phillips, who was sitting on the ground, intoxicated and due to his state, they approached him.
He first engaged with them but then became aggressive and called officers “c**ts”.
He then started shouting and swearing, so he was arrested.
Officers took him to the ground to subdue him and while there, he kicked one of the officers in the left thigh and tried to do it again, unsuccessfully.
He was put in a police van and driven to a police station, where he was cautioned and charged.

The 44-year-old appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he pleaded guilty to assault and behaving in a threatening or aggressive manner.
His lawyer told the court: "He had a very difficult time. He would be able to comply with unpaid work."
Sheriff Allan McKay told the Cambuslang resident: "Given that you accepted you were guilty immediately, I am prepared to deal with you with a monetary penalty."
Phillips was fined £400 for shouting and swearing and £500 for the attack on the officer, plus a £40 victim surcharge.
