UPDATE: Flip Out has issued a new statement.
A child has died in an 'unexplained' incident at a family leisure attraction.
Emergency services were called to Flip Out trampoline park in Rutherglen at around 11am on Sunday morning after a child became unwell.
The youngster was rushed to hospital but tragically pronounced dead.
Cops are treating the child's death as 'unexplained' but it is not believed that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
The Health and Safety Executive has also been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing after a child took unwell at a premises in Southcroft Road, Rutherglen shortly before 11.00am on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
“The child was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hospital for Children where they were pronounced dead.
“The child’s death is being treated as unexplained, although there are not thought be any suspicious circumstances, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. The Health and Safety Executive has also been notified.”
The attraction released a statement informing customers that they were closed.
They apologised for any inconvenience and told guests that they would issue refunds if visitors email glasgow@flipout.co.uk.
A spokesperson said: "Flip Out Glasgow is closed today. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
"If you have pre-booked to visit today, please email glasgow@flipout.co.uk with your booking details and we will refund your booking or move your booking to another day.
"Please keep an eye on our social media where we post updates on when we will be reopening."
