Fire crews have issued an update after a blaze at a waste facility site in Airdrie.
We reported how emergency teams raced to a landfill site on Meikle Drumgray Road in the town on Sunday, August 18, after being alerted to the incident.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has since revealed they sent four fire trucks to the scene.
The service was alerted to the fire shortly before 7pm.

After that, crews tackled the blaze before leaving the area shortly after 8am on Monday, August 19.
Luckily, no one was injured during the incident.
During the inferno, residents in Airdrie were being urged to keep their windows and doors closed.
A spokesperson for the SFRS said: “We were alerted at 6.51pm on Sunday, August 18, to reports of a fire in the open at Meikle Drumgray Road, Airdrie.
“Operational control mobilised four appliances to the scene of a fire on a landfill.
“There were no casualties.
“Crews left the scene at 8.03am on Monday, August 19, after ensuring the area was made safe.”
