Police are investigating three similar incidents in the same area of Clydebank.
Three vehicles were deliberately set on fire near each other on the same evening.
A silver Volkswagen Sharan and a black Kia Sportage were both targeted on Glasgow Road at around 9pm on Sunday, August 18.
A white Renault van was then set on fire on John Knox Street at around 10.25pm.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Officers are now trying to establish whether these incidents are linked and is calling on the public to get in touch if they saw anything.
Detective Constable Jemma Green said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything to contact us.
“We are also appealing to anyone driving in the areas at the time who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 3529 of 18 August for Glasgow Road, and 3888 of 18 August for John Knox Road.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
