A former Glasgow nightclub will go under the hammer after plans for a Wetherspoons were scrapped.
We previously reported that the pub giant had purchased the former Tusk nightclub on Moss Side Road in Shawlands and had secured permission to turn the space into one of its bars.
But these plans were axed and the building was put up for sale in June 2023.
The site will now go to auction on Thursday, August 29 with an opening bid of £855,000.

It is described as an 'iconic' building in a desirable location in the city's Southside, surrounded by pubs, bars, restaurants and shops.
The venue has a long and interesting history, opening on Christmas Day 1922 as the Waverley Picture House and later, its famous tea rooms joined the cinema.
After 50 years of entertaining Glaswegians with the latest flicks, the Waverley - later named the ABC - closed in 1973 and was used as a bingo hall and snooker club before becoming a derelict space.

In the early 2000s, the G1 group bought the venue and transformed it into Tusk, a bar/nightclub.
The Waverley Tea Rooms continued to operate alongside the club until it closed in 2007, and the tea rooms suffered the same fate ten years later.

Whispers of transforming the once decadent theatre space into a brand-new cinema have circled over the last few years, but in 2021 Wetherspoons announced that they would be spending £3 million to transform it into a pub.
The plan was to open it after The Sir John Stirling Maxwell on the nearby Kilmarnock Road closed in March 2023.
Eddie Gershon, Wetherspoon spokesman, said: “Wetherspoon can confirm that it is to put its site at Moss Side Road, Glasgow, on the market, for sale.
“The company will not be developing the site into a Wetherspoon pub.
“This is a commercial decision.”
