Plans have been revealed to transform a Glasgow restaurant into a guest house.

A proposal has been submitted to Glasgow City Council to turn the site at 441 Victoria Road into accommodation for six people.

The site was previously occupied by the Japanese eatery Daku, which has since closed.

Next door was a 'hidden' cocktail bar, Charlie Brown's, which also closed in July due to the bar and Daku being redeveloped into "something else".

Plans state that the property's original layout would be used to convert the premises into six bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms.

The property forms the first floor of a listed tenement building with its own separate entrance at street level which leads up a flight of stairs.

There would be no onsite catering, with the rooms only being used for sleeping and a small kitchen area for "breakfast and reheating".

It is intended to use the guest house as 'high-quality' tourist accommodation, with it being located in a bustling area of the city's Southside with good transport links and plenty of nearby shops and restaurants.
