Fiscal Amanda Allan told Glasgow Sheriff Court that a joint minute of agreed evidence was ready to be signed between all parties.
She said: "The issue of Strep B is something that will be canvassed in evidence.
"The last hearing was told that this would be done in two stages on the cause of death being Strep B.
"We will lead the expert first to explore that with the court.
"After that, we will move on to the clinical decision making on the day.
"The four clinicians presented in the inquiry will give evidence.
"We have been asked for a proposed running order. We cannot provide that yet as discussions are ongoing.
"We are narrowing it down to the absolute necessity of witnesses - they are all clinicians."
Sheriff Barry Divers ordered another preliminary hearing to take place in late October before inquiry begins five days later.
