A teen has been arrested after a late-night 'incident' involving a taxi in Glasgow.
A blue Skoda was flagged down by two males in the city's Easterhouse on Thursday, August 22 at around 11.35pm.
This occurred at Langbar Crescent near Edinburgh Road.
A knife was then said to have been brandished and the car was taken.
It was later found abandoned after crashing into a tree near St Lukes Avenue in Carluke.
Meanwhile, another vehicle had been reported stolen from outside a property on Lanark Road, Carluke in the early hours of Friday, August 23.
It was later found abandoned on Hallhill Road in Glasgow's Barlanark.
Detectives are treating the two incidents as being linked.
A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection.
The youth is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 26, 2024.
Officers are still trying to locate a second male and they are urging anyone who may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.
