Part of a busy Hamilton Road will be closed for several days next month.
South Lanarkshire Council says essential repairs to Palace Grounds Road in the town will mean overnight lane closures on it.
The road, from its junction with Muir Street to the Motherwell roundabout, will have several lane closures to facilitate the works from 8pm to 6am each night from Monday, September 2 until Thursday, September 5.

Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “This work is very much dependent on the weather, so we may need to change the timings depending on the conditions.
“I would ask all road users to be aware of this planned work, and avoid the area if possible, but if not please allow extra time for your journey.
“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience the works may cause, but I know local people will see a considerable benefit to the condition of the road when they are complete.”
