According to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), the 32-year-old met his 15-year-old victim in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, on March 1, 2021, before taking her to his home address.

Once inside, the sex offender demanded that she consume a powder substance, uttered threats of violence towards her family, and hit her head against a door.

After detaining her against her will, he sexually assaulted her while she was intoxicated before raping her.

On Thursday, August 27, at the High Court in Edinburgh, Sojka was sentenced to seven years in prison.

His name has been added to the sex offenders register indefinitely.

Meanwhile, a 10-year non-harassment order, preventing Sojka from contacting or attempting to contact his victim, has also been granted.
