A mother and daughter duo will be taking on a kiltwalk challenge to raise funds for a charity that supports unpaid carers in East Dunbartonshire.
Fiona and Mhairi Green are set to participate in the Mighty Stride Edinburgh Kiltwalk that will take place on September 15 for Carers Link East Dunbartonshire.
Based in Milngavie, the charity also helps young carers, aged eight to 25, with services including emotional support, wellbeing, information and advocacy, holiday breaks, and activities.
Fiona and Mhairi, who are from East Dunbartonshire, care for two disabled family members supported by the charity.
Fiona said: "Carers Link have provided a lot of support to our family which has included young carer support and activities, monthly carers café and carers call.
"My son has complex additional support needs and requires 24-hour care.
"My husband is physically disabled and needs support with various aspects of his daily life.
"I was diagnosed with cancer in October 2023 and have been receiving chemotherapy this year.
"This walk is my first big challenge."
