A man has died after police were called to an incident in East Kilbride.

Officers raced to Glenburn Road at its junction with Glenburn Way at around 3.20pm on Friday, August 30. 

This emergency response was due to a crash involving a green Kawasaki motorbike.

The rider of the bike, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Cops are investigating the full nature of what happened and they are urging anyone who saw the incident to come forward. 

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around that time who may have dash-cam to please review their footage and contact us if it holds anything relevant.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 2424 of August 30.”
