A Glasgow man told his neighbour "you are dead tomorrow".

Steven Gunn was on Cumlodden Drive in Maryhill on May 20, 2024, when his neighbours looked out their window and spotted him with a small cut to his head.

Gunn became aggressive and started shouting at Mohammadulla Barazkai, calling him a "black b*****d" and telling him: "You are dead tomorrow".

Police were alerted and when they arrived they saw Gunn leaning outside his window. He told them: "What the f**k do you want?".

He was arrested and taken to Govan police station.

The 32-year-old appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week after he pleaded guilty to behaving aggressively and making racially offensive remarks.

His lawyer told the court: "He is 32 years old and lives by himself.

"He has never come to the attention of the courts before.

"This was against the background of disruptive neighbours. This has caused issues for him.

"He is suffering from anxiety and depression and this caused him to consume alcohol.

"He accepts full responsibility. He has resumed abstinence."

Sheriff Thomas Ward fined Gunn £200 plus a £20 victim surcharge.
