Ahead of the event, football fans have been warned to expect longer queuing times and to allow extra time when catching train services.

Meanwhile, ScotRail says to help supporters travel to the match, they are adding extra services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida - which is the closest station to the stadium.

On top of that, the rail firm has warned regular travellers to be aware that services between the two stations 'will be much busier than normal' before the game.

After the clash, the travel company is advising fans to make their way back to Mount Florida as quickly as possible after the final whistle.

Customers are also reminded that Mount Florida station can only be accessed from Cathkinview Road, and onto Bolton Drive via Clincart Road after the match.

Additionally, due to ScotRail's temporary timetable, rail users are being urged to 'plan ahead' and check their journeys.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director, said: “We’re looking forward to helping fans travel by train to watch the men’s national team play Poland at Hampden Park on Thursday night.

“We’re adding more train services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida to help supporters travel to and from the match, and we’ll have additional staff on hand to help.

“Our advice to customers is to leave extra time for travel as trains are likely to be busier than normal.

"Buying tickets in advance through our mTickets system will reduce your queuing time.

“Regular commuters who travel home from Glasgow on the line via Mount Florida should be aware that services will be much busier than normal with fans heading to the match.”
