A warning has been issued ahead of a popular singer's Glasgow gig tonight.

American country music star Morgan Wallan will take the stage at the city's OVO Hydro this evening (Thursday, September 5).

The 31-year-old singer - who is from Tennessee in the United States - will be bringing his One Night At A Time 2024 tour to the venue.

Ahead of the huge concert, Traffic Scotland has warned road users to expect 'heavier traffic' around Glasgow city centre and on the A814 Clydeside Expressway.

In a social media post, the road firm said: "Morgan Wallen.

"OVO Hydro plays host to the country star, Morgan Wallan, on September 5.

"Doors open at 6pm. Expect heavier traffic around Glasgow city centre and on the A814."

 

 

The musician is known for his hit songs including I Had Some Help, Lies Lies Lies, Last Night, Cowgirls, Thinkin' Bout Me, and many more.

Currently, the artist has over 43million monthly listeners on the music streaming app Spotify.

It comes after we reported an urgent traffic warning has been issued ahead of Scotland's match in Glasgow tonight as well.

The game - which will see Scotland take on Poland - is set to take place at Hampden Park in the Southside at 7.45pm.

Ahead of it, Traffic Scotland has warned road users that traffic is expected to be 'heavier' on the M8 and M74 motorways.

Due to this, motorists are being urged to 'arrive on time' and 'plan ahead' if heading to the clash.
