A frantic search is underway to track down a missing Glasgow man who vanished over a week ago.

Police are appealing for information to help trace Darren Pollock.

The 42-year-old was last seen in the Pollok area of the city at around 5am on Thursday, August 29.

He is described as being around 5ft 6inch tall, of medium build with short brown hair.

Officers say he is normally clean shaven, however, he may now have one week's of growth.

Meanwhile, Darren was last seen wearing caramel-coloured trousers and a heavy cream-coloured anorak.

The force says he doesn't have access to a phone and is not believed to have access to money.

Sergeant Stefan Bain from Pollok Police Station said: “Darren has now been missing for more than a week and concern is growing for his welfare.

“He is known to take long walks and has gone missing before, but not for this length of time.

“He has previously been traced in Linlithgow and Loch Lomond, areas he has no connection to, and we are keeping an open mind about which area he could be in.

“We would appeal to members of the public to keep a look out for Daniel and report any sightings to us via 101, quoting incident number 1998 of Wednesday, September 4, 2024.”
