A child has been rushed to hospital following a crash.
Around 2.45pm on Saturday, police received a report of a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian on Buchanan Street in Coatbridge.
It is unknown what caused the crash.
However, the force confirmed that the child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment.
They went on to add that an investigation has been launched following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.45pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, police received a report of a crash involving a car and a child pedestrian on Buchanan Street, Coatbridge.
"The child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing."
