A Glasgow man who has vanished may have entered Pollok Park, police have said.

Darren Pollock was last seen around 8.20am on Thursday, August 29, on Braidcraft Road where it meets Corkerhill Road in the city.

In a desperate bid to track down the missing 42-year-old, cops have released CCTV images of his last known sightings in the Pollok area.

Appealing for information, the force has said they are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for his welfare.

They also believe he may have entered Pollok Park in the Southside.

Sergeant Fiona Weir from Pollok Police Station said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about Darren’s welfare and we are trying to piece together his movements from when he was last seen.

“Enquiries carried out suggest that he may have gone into Pollok Park and we would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him there, or anywhere else in the area, to please get in touch.

“We would also ask any motorists with dash-cams who were on the surrounding roads that day to check in case they have footage of Darren.

“He is known to take long walks and we are keeping an open mind about where he may be now.

“We would appeal to members of the public to keep a look out for Darren and report any sightings/further information to us via 101, quoting incident number 1998 of Wednesday, September 4, 2024.”
