A multi-award-winning Glasgow restaurant has been named the best 'family' restaurant at a national event.
Desi Dhaba Chaiwala, which is based in Pollokshields in the city's Southside, won the accolade for Family Restaurant of the Year at this year's Asian Restaurant Awards.
Meanwhile, Trongate restaurant Charcoals was named Asian Restaurant of the Year in Glasgow, and their boss Muhammad Sultan won Entrepreneur of the Year.
Now in its eighth year, the event celebrates the best Asian cuisine in Scotland and was hosted at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on Wednesday, September 4.

The event was organised by the Asian Catering Foundation (ACF) and the awards were presented by Minister for Equalities Kaukab Stewart and Foysol Choudhury MSP for the Lothian region and Shadow Minister for Culture, Europe and International Development.
Asian restaurants across the country were shortlisted through public votes, narrowed down to just thirteen winners, and recognised for their culinary excellence, innovation, creativity and endeavour throughout the past year.
ACF Chairman Yawar Khan said: “The Scottish Asian Restaurant Awards are a key event for our industry.
"Not only do they recognise the excellence of Asian and Oriental restaurants in Scotland, but they also give us the opportunity to come together and celebrate the wealth of cultures and cuisines that contribute so much to our economy.”
