UPDATE: Shona has been traced safe and well.
Concerns are mounting for a Glasgow woman who vanished near a country park.
Shona Biggins is believed to have travelled to the Dams area of Darnley Country Park on the morning of Wednesday, September 11.
The 49-year-old has not been seen since and extensive investigations are now underway to find her.
She is described as around 5ft 2in tall with long fair hair.
It is not known what she was wearing at the time she was reported missing.
Officers are making enquiries in the Darnley and South Nitshill areas and are urging the public to help.
Sergeant Alan Burrell at Pollok Police Station, said: “We’re becoming increasingly concerned for Shona’s welfare and are trying to trace her as quickly as possible to ensure she is safe and well.
“If anyone thinks they’ve seen Shona, or someone matching her description, since yesterday morning, please get in touch with us.
“If you were in the Darnley Country Park area yesterday, please think back. Did you see Shona? Any information you have could be vital.
“Shona, if you see this appeal, please contact police so we can make sure you’re okay.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3319 of September 11.
