A young man has sadly died after a serious crash in Motherwell.
The incident happened on the A775 Edinburgh Road in the town at around 4.25pm on Monday, September 16.
It took place on the road near its junction for Biggar Road and involved a blue Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle and a red Ford Focus car.

Emergency crews raced to the scene. However, tragically a 37-year-old man - who was the motorcycle rider - was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say the driver of the car, a 59-year-old man, was not injured.
The road was closed during the incident to allow investigation work to take place.
It reopened shortly after 11pm.
Now, police are appealing for information on the fatal collision.

Sergeant Nick Twigg, Road Policing, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can assist is asked to get in touch.
“If you were driving near the area at the time and have not already spoken to police, or have a dash-cam that could assist then please make contact with officers.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2476 of Monday, September 16, 2024."
