A 'dangerous' Glasgow University building has sparked an emergency road closure.
Glasgow City Council said a road closure is in place between Ashton Lane North and Ashton Road in the West End.
The closure is in place after the council's building standards team were notified by Glasgow University amid concerns about the condition of a parapet on the Molema Building on Ashton Lane.

The area will remain shut to 'protect public safety' while the university carries out work to make the building safe.
In images captured by the Glasgow Times, the street can be seen blocked off by fences and a work van.
A spokesman for the council said: “Our building standards team has been notified by staff from Glasgow University of their concerns about the condition of a parapet on the Molema Building on Ashton Lane.
“A road closure between Ashton Lane North and Ashton Road is now in place to protect public safety while Glasgow University undertakes work to make safe their building.”
The Molema building was previously known as the Gregory building.
However, in 2021, the university renamed the building.
The new name was picked to recognise Dr Molema because of his contribution to South Africa through his medical, academic, and political work, as well as his close ties to the education institution.
Silas Modiri Molema was a prominent South African medical practitioner and political figure. He was born in 1891 in Mahikeng, South Africa.
He was educated at Lovedale Institution and worked as a teacher until 1914 when he moved to Europe.
Dr Molema then received his medical degree from the University of Glasgow in 1919.
A University of Glasgow spokesperson said: “We are aware of some defective brickwork on the exterior of the Molema building, bordering Ashton Lane.
"As a precaution the University of Glasgow and Glasgow City Council have temporarily restricted access to part of Ashton Lane while we carry out a thorough inspection, prior to repair work.”
It is unknown when the road will reopen.
