A busy Paisley road has been closed due to an ongoing police incident.
Hawkhead Road in the town has been shut from Hurlet Road after a person has been hit by a car.
Officers say they were called to the incident shortly after 8am this morning (Wednesday, September 18).

999 crews are currently in attendance at the scene.
Meanwhile, drivers are being asked to use alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Hawkhead Road in Paisley is closed from Hurlet Road after a person was struck by a car around 8.10am this morning.
"Emergency services are in attendance.
"We'd ask drivers to use an alternative route."
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
