A motor has been found 'extensively damaged' after being torched in Airdrie.
Detectives are appealing for information after a 'wilful fire-raising' incident in the Chapelhall area of the town on Wednesday, September 18.
Officers say the vehicle was set alight outside a property in Dalbeattie Braes at around 10.30pm.

999 crews raced to the scene.
On arrival, cops said the car was found to be extensively damaged.
Detective Constable Lynne Thomson said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to please get in touch.
“We would also urge any members of the public with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could be of significance to the investigation to pass this on to officers.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4356 of Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
