A residential street in Hamilton was 'blocked' by police after a 'disturbance'.
Officers were called to Mayfield Road at around 7.40pm following a report of an alleged disturbance and vandalism.
Reports on social media told of a police presence in the area.
One person said: "Don't try to go down Mayfield Road, it's blocked off by police."
Another said: "Was on my way down Mayfield and had to turn back."
A third added: "Most of Mayfield road out, wonder what's went on."
The force confirmed that they arrested and charged a 36-year-old man in connection with the alleged incident.
He is due in court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.40pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance and vandalism in the Mayfield Road area of Hamilton.
"Officers attended and a 36-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at court at a later date.”
