A man has been hospitalised after an incident near a Glasgow shopping centre.
The 28-year-old was hit by a vehicle on Auchinlea Road near Glasgow Fort in Easterhouse on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 2pm and the man was treated for his injuries in hospital.
An investigation is underway and the driver of a nearby First Bus, which was not involved in the collision, witnessed the scene.
They are helping the force with the investigation.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, we were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Auchinlea Road in Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 28-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
A spokesperson for First Bus said: “We can confirm our bus was not involved in an incident on Auchinlea Road yesterday afternoon, but the driver did witness it take place.
“We are currently assisting emergency services with their enquiries and our thoughts are with all those involved.”
