A prisoner has died in custody at HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow.
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) has announced that George Metcalff passed away on Friday, August 30.
Now, SPS says a fatal accident inquiry will be held into the 74-year-old's death.
Meanwhile, Police Scotland has been advised of the man's death and the matter will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Prison Service said: "With each death in custody, Police Scotland are advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"Fatal Accident Inquiries are held in due course."
