A child has been caught with a 'blade' in a busy North Lanarkshire town.
Cops from Cumbernauld's local policing team engaged with a group of youngsters in the Kilsyth area on Friday, September 27.
Following that, officers say one of the youths was allegedly found to be in possession of a lock-back knife.
They have since been charged and reported to the Scottish Children's Reporter.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: On September 27, 2024, officers from Cumbernauld local policing team engaged with a group of youths in the Kilsyth area.
"A youth was found to be in possession of a lock-back knife.
"The youth has been charged and will be reported to the Scottish Children’s Reporter.
