M&S Braehead celebrated its 25th anniversary over the weekend.

Located in Braehead Shopping Centre, the store has been serving the community since 1999.

The team of 380 colleagues marked the occasion with a birthday party for customers and staff on Sunday evening and activities throughout the weekend.

Kathryn Mullaney, store manager, said: "Reaching the milestone of 25 years is a phenomenal achievement and one that the whole team is immensely proud of.

"We are so grateful to our amazing customers and colleagues, and it’s been a privilege to be a part of the local community for so many years.

"From charity partnerships to developing relationships with our long-standing customers, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have supported M&S Braehead along the way.

"We look forward to continuing to provide high quality products for our customers and supporting local charities and initiatives for many years to come. Congratulations team and thank you all for your hard work and dedication every day.”

The store has seen several renovations over the years to improve the shopping experience.

Nine colleagues have been with M&S Braehead since its opening day 25 years ago.

During the celebrations, they shared memorable moments including appearing in the 2018 M&S Christmas TV advert.

The team also opened the business's first back-to-school pop-up shop in the shopping centre, offering shoppers a bigger selection of products.

M&S Braehead has supported the local community through various recruitment organisations and charity partnerships.

They have raised funds for charities such as Young Minds, Macmillan Hospice Care, and Parkinson’s UK.

The team also participated in the Britannic Glasgow Women’s 10KM Race for Life to raise funds for a project providing respite care for adults with learning disabilities, while another colleague undertook a 100-hour secondment at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow.

The store has also helped dozens of young people secure permanent employment through the Prince’s Trust employability programme, Marks & Start.
