A bin lorry has crashed through a garden in the Southside of Glasgow.
A white Dennis Eagle truck - a Glasgow City Council vehicle - seems to have crashed into the front garden of a flat block on the corner of Calder Street and Ardbeg Street.
Pictures taken from the scene show that the vehicle completely crushed the fence leading to the property, as well as damaging large amounts of shrubbery.
The lorry appears to have stopped just inches away from the residential building on the corner.
Spotted on site were two police vehicles, police officers and a recovery truck.
Jonathan Iacovides, 31, lives in the ground floor flat that the lorry stopped just short of.
He told the Glasgow Times: "I heard a loud bang, walked through to the living room and saw a truck nearly through my window.
"I was shocked. I was worried about the driver as well. I came out, the driver was completely shook up, so I offered him a cup of tea. He said no, but I went and got him a cup of tea anyway.
"It was very loud. At least no one’s been hurt, that’s the main thing."
"There was meant to be a gardener coming round this week," he added. "I think I'll cancel."
A spokesman for Glasgow City Council said: "Police are investigating the incident and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time."
Police Scotland said: "Around 1.35pm on Tuesday, 1 October, 2024, we were called to a report of a road crash involving a bin lorry and a fence in Ardbeg Street, Glasgow.
"Officers attended and there were no reports of injuries. The vehicle has been recovered."
