A man has died after being found seriously injured on an Uddingston street.

Police say they were called to General's Gate in the town at around 7.35pm on Sunday, October 6 after a 38-year-old man was found injured.

After that, he was rushed to hospital, however, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cops say they remain at the scene this morning and an investigation into his death is underway.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7.35pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024, police were called to General’s Gate, Uddingston, where a 38-year-old man was found seriously injured. 

“He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but was pronounced dead on arrival.

“Officers remain at the scene as the investigation into his death continue.”
