A newborn baby has died after being rushed to hospital in Glasgow sparking a police probe.
Officers say they were made aware of a baby taking unwell in the St Mungo Place area of the city on Monday, October 7.
The force was alerted to the incident in Townhead shortly before 9am.

Emergency crews scrambled to the scene. After that, a five-week-old baby boy was taken to hospital.
Sadly, the youngster was pronounced dead in hospital.
Now, cops have revealed the death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is now underway.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.45am on Monday, October 7, 2024, officers were made aware of a baby having taken unwell in the St Mungo Place area of Glasgow.
“The baby, a five-week-old boy, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
