A man is due in court after cops seized drugs from a car on the M73.
Officers stopped a vehicle on the northbound motorway near Gartcosh at around 10.30am on Tuesday, October 8.
After searching the car, they say they discovered a quantity of Class A drugs worth an estimated street value of £350,000.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.
He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday, October 9.
Following this, the force has reassured the public that they can contact police with any concerns they may have about drugs in their community.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Stoddart said: “Recoveries such as this highlight our determination to protect the public from this type of harmful criminality.
“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy, and we will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle this issue and make our communities safer.
“Information from the public is absolutely crucial to our work and we would continue to urge anyone with knowledge or concerns about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
