A man is due in court in connection with the death of a man in Uddingston.
David Graham was walking alone in General's Gate at around 7.35pm on Sunday, October 6 when he was allegedly attacked.
Members of the public rushed to the aid of the 38-year-old, who was from Cambuslang, before he was taken to hospital.
He was sadly pronounced dead on his arrival at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Following David's death, officers have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man in connection.
He is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 10.
Known to friends as 'Div', we reported how tributes poured in for Mr Graham after the news of his death.
One said: "Awful.
"RIP young man. Thoughts are with all his family and friends."
A second added: "What is this world coming to when people aren't even safe to walk the streets anymore?
"Thoughts are with David's friends and family."
Another said: "Thoughts are with the family of David. He was a great guy who was known well by all the community and was a very caring guy."
A fourth said: "Poor family.
"Heartbreaking. Remember David well from when we were young.
"He was a nice guy."
