A new Tesco store could open in Glasgow's Southside.

The supermarket giant handed in a planning application to the council, asking for permission to place signs on an empty unit at the Barclays Campus.

According to the documents, the chain is petitioning to place four illuminated signs on the building at 2 Clyde Place Lane, for five years.

It is understood that the unit is currently vacant.
