A man who died following a bus crash in Airdrie has been named as Francis Hooper.
Affectionately known as Frank, he was aged 58 and from the Airdrie area.
The family asked for privacy and released the following statement: “Frank was a much-loved husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.”
As the Glasgow Times reported previously, a bus and three cars collided in the town centre around 3.25pm on Friday, 11 October.
Emergency crews were called to Stirling Street and Mr Hooper, the driver, was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.

Road Policing Sergeant Nick Twigg said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Hooper.
“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and anyone who has not already spoken to officers is asked to contact us via 101, quoting incident number 2154 of Friday, October, 11, 2024.”
