A Glasgow cafe is closing after the owner admitted it was 'basically impossible' to stay open.
Andina Coffee specialises in Colombian roasted coffee, opening on Duke Street in Dennistoun almost five years ago and then expanding to Argyle Street in Finnieston in August 2022.
It was given the seal of approval by ex-Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos who regularly popped in for a taste of his homeland and was there to celebrate the Finnieston venue's opening.
Now owner Maria has made a sad announcement to customers that due to rising costs, it is becoming too difficult to operate both stores and the Finnieston shop will close.

She said: "Finnieston, with a heavy heart it’s time to call it a day.
"We tried our hardest to make things work but with costs rising so much it’s basically impossible to run a business like Andina.
"I am happy to say that I tried my best but unfortunately things not always work out.
"Finnieston, thank you so much for receiving us, for loving our coffee and for keeping us going for 2 years.
"We will focus our attention on wholesale and should you be interested please let us know."
Maria assured her regulars that they could still get their caffeine fix at the Duke Street spot, and asked if people could spread the word to keep the shop 'afloat' as they are "not as busy as we were at some point".

Another said: "Aww sending you loads of love Maria."
A third added: "Sad to read this."
