A Glasgow restaurant has unveiled its new hidden speakeasy.

Habibi opened earlier this month on Gibson Street and promised to deliver a 'taste of the Middle East' in the West End of Glasgow with its authentic Persian cuisine.

The team has already decided to expand their offerings and open a second secret spot within their existing venue.

Teasing customers on social media, Habibi revealed their new concept Bazaar.

A sliding door allows access to the secret compartment in the restaurant, and a glimpse of its interior reveals its exposed brick walls, Middle East-inspired decor, ambient lighting and booth seating.

The menu sounds as if it will be ideal for big groups or those who cannot just choose one dish, as the team said they were inspired by "the large family gatherings of our childhood, with lots of sharing dishes".

Regular customers were enamoured with the idea, with one saying: "Now this is exciting."

Another wrote: "She’s a beauty!"

A third added: "Looks unreal and we’ve heard such good things!!"
