A man, woman, and two children from Glasgow have died following a crash on the M6.
Police say they were called to a collision between two cars on the northbound motorway past Tebay services in Cumbria at around 4.05pm on Tuesday, October 15.
The incident involved a Skoda and a Toyota.
The male driver of the Toyota, a woman and two children were pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops revealed that they are from Glasgow.
A third child in the Toyota was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where they are battling serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the male driver of the Skoda, from Cambridgeshire, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Families of all those who were involved are being supported by specially-trained officers.
The M6 northbound fully reopened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
