A man has been released by police amid the probe into the death of David Graham.
The Cambuslang dad was walking alone in General's Gate in Uddingston on Sunday, October 6 when he was allegedly attacked.
The 38-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Cops revealed on Wednesday that they had arrested a 28-year-old man in connection to the incident, however, he has since been released pending further enquiries.
Enquiries are continuing.
A 29-year-old man was previously arrested and charged in connection with the death and appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 10.

Liam Kippen appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 10 charged with murder.
The 29-year-old, whose address was listed as Motherwell, made no plea.
He was remanded in custody and will appear again within the next eight days.
A 41-year-old man was previously arrested in connection with the death and released pending further enquiries.
Police say enquiries into David's death are continuing.
Following the tragic news, his friends and loved ones rallied together to raise some money for his family.
Friend Jamieleigh Walker, who created the fundraiser, said: "It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the loss of our beloved David.
"David was the most selfless and caring person you’d have ever met who was tragically taken far too soon on October 6, 2024. This unimaginable loss has left us all devastated.
"David was a loving husband, dad, son, brother and friend. I have created this GoFundMe campaign to support David’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
"Our goal is to alleviate some of the financial burdens they are facing."
