Three men have been hospitalised and subsequently arrested following an alleged incident in the East End of Glasgow. 

Cops were called to Budhill Avenue in Shettleston around 8.45pm on Tuesday, following reports of a disturbance.

Officers attended and two men, aged 28 and 33, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to head injuries. Both were subsequently arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault. 

Additionally, a 40-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a facial injury. 

He too was later arrested and charged in connection with an assault.

All three men will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

Budhill Avenue was closed for a period of time while officers carried out enquiries. However, it has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, we were called to a report of a disturbance in Budhill Avenue, Shettleston.

“Officers attended and two men, aged 28 and 33, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to head injuries. Both were subsequently arrested and charged in connection with an assault and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

“A 40-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a facial injury. He was later arrested and charged in connection with an assault and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Budhill Avenue was closed for a period of time while officers carried out enquiries and has since reopened.”
