A WOMAN accused of being 'cruel' to four children over a 10-year period has a warrant out for her arrest.

Yvonne Keenan, 55, is stated to have caused unnecessary suffering at properties in North Glasgow.

The first charge states that Keenan was "cruel" and "unnaturally treated" a girl aged between eight and 17.

It is claimed that Keenan struck her on the body, seized her by the body, shook her and pushed her onto a bed.

The charge says Keenan struck her to the face and shouted at her.

Allegations further state she forced the girl to complete household tasks to her satisfaction.

The girl was also allegedly forced into a relationship, all of which caused injury to her health.

A second child aged between eight and 14 was stated to be shouted at by Keenan who is said to have uttered derogatory remarks.

She is claimed to have repeatedly struck the boy to the chest with her finger and repeatedly threatened to stop him from seeing his mother.

The boy was further stated to have been repeatedly gone without food.

A third charge claims that Keenan carried out a similar offence on a girl aged between four and nine years old.

She is stated to have refused to allow her to sit on the furniture and forced her to sit on the floor.

The charge claims Keenan locked her in a bedroom, attempted to force-feed her and cut her hair.

Allegations further state Keenan forced the girl to stand in the corner facing the wall for hours and dragged her by the hair.

It is alleged Keenan placed her hand over the girl's mouth and restricted her breathing which forced her to lose consciousness.

The girl was also said to have been pulled by the ankles then pulled from a bed which resulted in her head striking a radiator.

It is claimed Keenan repeatedly struck her on the body with a slipper to her injury.

The charge goes on to say Keenan repeatedly told the girl that her mother was dead when this was not true.

Allegations state the girl was instructed to wear inappropriate clothing and clothing was ripped from her body.

The girl was also stated to not have been fed and caused to stand outside for prolonged periods.

A picture of the girl was also allegedly taken by Keenan which was allegedly done to humiliate her in front of other children.

This charge is stated to have been to the girl's danger of life.

A final charge claims that a boy aged between two and five years old was also refused to sit on the furniture and forced to sit on the floor.

The charge states that he was locked in a bedroom and forced to face a wall for hours.

He is further claimed to have been locked in a bathroom.

A photograph of the boy was also allegedly taken which was said to have been done to humiliate him in front of other children.

Keenan is further stated to have caused the boy to eat cat food.

The four charges span between September 1994 and September 2004.

Keenan nor her solicitor attended a hearing on the matter at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A warrant for the arrest of Keenan, of the city's Possilpark, was granted by Sheriff Iain Fleming.
