The Aldi store in Alexandria has reopened following a refurbishment and extension.

The shop on Bank Street opened its doors to customers at 8am on October 24.

Now with a retail space of 1,283m2 the store is offering a wider range of products.

The new layout aims to make shopping more convenient for customers, with fresh bread and cakes moved to the last aisle to prevent damage.

The store will continue to offer its Specialbuys'every Thursday and Sunday.

During the reopening week, a range of Bluey toys will be on offer, including a Bluey cash register for £19.99, a Bluey keyboard for £12.99, and Bluey figure sets for £9.99.

Three new jobs have been created as a result of the extension, and Aldi is continuing to recruit for the Alexandria store.

Store Manager Lynsey Gallagher said: "The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers, and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.

Following its reopening, the store will be open from 8am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 9am to 8pm on Sunday.
