Police have issued an update after a 'suspect item' was found in a high-rise flat block in Clydebank.
Bomb squad, cops and fire crews have been stationed in Dalmuir after the item was found at a property in Overtoun Court on Monday, October 28.
In the latest update, officers said several residents have been evacuated, while they are still urging people to 'avoid the area'.
Police were searching the area as part of an ongoing investigation when they found the item.
After making the discovery, police alerted the bomb disposal team.

Chief Superintendent Gary I’Anson, Divisional Commander for Argyll & West Dunbartonshire, said: “I would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding as we continue to deal with this incident.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and police are working with partner agencies to provide support and reassurance to everyone affected.
“We would encourage anyone in the community with concerns to speak with officers in the area.”
