Several Glasgow city centre roads will be closed to allow this year's Christmas lights switch-on to take place.
The annual event takes place on George Square each year marking the beginning of the festive celebrations in the city.
At the Merchant City and Trongate Community Council meeting on Tuesday, September 24, it was revealed that Glasgow Life has submitted a licensing request to Glasgow City Council for this year's event on Sunday, November 17.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Life confirmed it will take place on this date.
Ahead of the festive event, Glasgow City Council has revealed multiple road closures will be in place before, during, and after it.
