A woman has died after being found with serious injuries in a housing estate in Glasgow city centre.
Officers have erected tape around multiple blocks of flats near Dobbies Loan Place and St Mungo Avenue in the city's Townhead on Tuesday afternoon.
The force said they had responded to a report of a disturbance in the area shortly before 1pm.
An image shared with the Glasgow Times earlier on Tuesday shows multiple ambulances at the scene before the cordon was put up.
A woman was found at the scene seriously injured.
She was pronounced dead a short time later and police are currently treating the death as 'unexplained'.
Uniformed cops are standing guard at the scene which spans the flats on St Mungo Avenue, the St Mungo Avenue playground and the Dobbies Loan Place high-rise flats nearby.
A large patch of grass near the Townhead shops has also been sealed off as plainclothes detectives carry out investigations.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.55pm on Tuesday, October 29, to a report of a disturbance in the St Mungo Avenue area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a woman was found seriously injured. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
“Officers remain at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.55pm on Tuesday, October 29 to attend an incident on St Mungo Avenue in Glasgow and we dispatched several resources to the scene.”
